Description:
Lovely but very hard to get. And they will get even harder to find now that the site has been covered by sand dunes.
Legend has it that Wabar was a wicked city destroyed in an instant by divine intervention, and that the "pearls" were lost by the ladies of the harem as they fled in the night. In fact this is a form of impact glass, formed in an instant when the Wabar meteorite impacted the sands; the shock and the heat turning the sand in globules of glass and splashing it around the impact craters.
All kinds of shapes: some are perfectly round and do look like tiny black pearls. Others have odd shapes. Most of those have at least one broken side showing that the inside is not clear smooth glass, but "bubbly", and not always black!
