A fireball reported to be brighter than the sun flew over eastern Siberia on February 12, 1947. The explosition and the impact were heard as far as 200 miles from the site of impact on a small range of mountains north of Vladivostok.

And one of the collectors' favorites because of the wide variety of size, shape of the fragments.Here is a relatively large fragment, showing well the force of the explosition stretching and ripping metal on one side, and broken along the crystallisation pattern on all 3 other faces. Quite unusual.
