Description:

A large, well-defined crater near the town of Odessa, marks the spot where this very large meteorite landed a very long time ago.  Many pieces large and small have been found all around it. 

Classified as a coarse octahedrite.  

Very nice whole individual, with one cut-polished-etched face, showing a marvelous and intricate pattern with several troilite inclusions. One of them looks just like a shooting star!

About 82mm long and 75mm at the widest. And it stands on its own just at the right angle.
