Classified as a Mesosiderite, a mixture of iron and silicates, one of the rarest types of meteorites; according to the "Catalogue of Meteorites" we know 21,514 different stony meteorites, but only 865 irons, and only 66 Mesosiderites.
Mt Padbury is usually sold as fragments, rarely as nicely polished pieces. This one is an end-piece, giving you the opportunity to see the inside and the outside of this rare meteorite. There are clear inclusions inside, and the outside is stained orange just like the Millbillillies. 2.6cm long by 2cm at the widest.
