Description:

Probably the most well-known of all iron meteorites, since tons of it have been found in Namibia. It also has the best Widmanstatten pattern and is resistant to rust. In other words: the perfect meteorite. 

Officially classified as a fine octahedrite.

But these pieces are different. Every now and then iron meteorites will break along crystallization lines as they go through the atmosphere, and small roughly triangular pieces can be found on the strewnfield. They are commonly called crystals, and here are 6 nice examples of Gibeon crystals.
