A new Meteorite from Nevada: MAJUBA 004 |

MAJUBA 004 was discovered on April 4, 2005 in northern Nevada on the Majuba Placers, near Rye Patch, Pershing County, by John Wolfe, an accomplished meteorite finder.

|
| The area is a high arid plateau with dry grasses most
of the year. And gold placers, traces of long-ago search for mineral wealth.

MAJUBA 004 has not been analyzed yet, but it has been examined by experts and found to have characteristics remarkably similar to Majuba002 and Majuba003 (both of them are in the latest Meteoritical Bulletin). This qualifies Majuba004 to be termed "probably paired" to Majuba002 and Majuba003. This would make it a

one weighing 281 gram was found the next day. But only this fragment is available to collectors.
