OUR RESIDENT EXPERT

Dr. Alain Carion has had a life-long love affair with the rocks from outer space. He earned a Doctorate from the University of Paris, and has lived and breathed minerals ever since. When he is not leading explorations in odd corners of the globe, he is buying and selling minerals at Mineral Shows from Tucson to Munich and Tokyo. Occasionally he can be found in Paris where he has a great shop on the Ile Saint Louis, a stone throw from the cathedral of Notre Dame. He is well known in France where he has published several books and is interviewed on television every time meteorites reappear in the news.

He will also be available to answer questions, provided that I can catch him in Paris between trips. And of course he will be in Tucson in February, in Springfield MA in August, and in Denver CO in September.
